Patient Care Technician Trainee

The primary responsibility is to satisfactorily complete the patient care technician training program or the certified nursing assistant (Cna) program, which includes attending classes, demonstrating skill competency, and achieving required test scores. Incumbents will receive education to provide basic nursing care and assist patients with activities of daily living.

Candidates must obtain a high school diploma and demonstrate computer experience, good organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure as a team player. Successful completion of the training program, including passing certification tests to become a state of michigan cna, is mandatory within a specified timeframe.
