  • The Gaming and Technology Academy of Saginaw (GATA) is opening in Fall 2026 and is seeking innovative, passionate educators who want to help build something different from the ground up.

Qualifications

1. Must have minimum 60 college credit hours. 2. If the assignment is in a core discipline area, must have a corresponding major on the transcript. 3. Bachelor of Education preferred. 4. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. NATURE OF THE POSITION: To implement the instructional program, in the absence of the certified teacher, to ensure that all students meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards. Achieving excellence requires that the substitute teacher works collaboratively and communicates effectively with fellow teachers, students, parents, and co-workers. RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION: Meeting and instructing assigned classes facilitating effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the Academy. Implementing through instruction and action the teachers' lesson plans. Establishing and maintaining a classroom environment conductive to learning by employing a variety of appropriate teaching strategies. Maintain students' grades, assignments, and attendance. Attending staff meetings, and training as applicable. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Satisfactory criminal background check.
