The Occupational Therapist implements a student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals to enhance learning potential and assist students in acquiring functional performance skills necessary for educational participation and independent functioning. Skills and Abilities Certificates & Licenses The Occupational Therapist must have completed an accredited education program and all field-work requirements. All OT programs are accredited by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Must be certified by the Occupational Tehrapy Certification Board (OTCB) following successful completion of the national certification exam. The OT must be licensed.
