The assistant teacher supports the teacher in implementing quality, individualized early childhood education by facilitating developmentally appropriate activities in an inclusive setting. This involves assisting with planning, implementing activities, maintaining classroom ratios, ensuring safety, and communicating effectively with children, families, and staff.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a minimum of a childhood development associate credential (Cda) with the preschool endorsement, tcc, tcd, or an equivalent higher credential in early childhood education or development. Applicants must be at least eighteen years old, pass a drug test, and have the knowledge and skills to support child growth and development while effectively communicating with diverse families.
