Day Camp Counselor

This role involves the direct supervision of a group of children within a seasonal day camp environment, requiring the creation of positive, nurturing relationships with campers and cooperative relationships with parents/Caregivers. Counselors must plan and implement culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate program activities consistent with ymca values while adhering to all safety and operational standards.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, typically a high school graduate (One year of college preferred), and possess previous experience working with children, preferably in a day camp setting. Required certifications include cpr, first aid, aed, and child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire.
