The Secondary History Teacher must plan and implement blended learning environments, providing direct and indirect instruction in History based on state standards while participating in all TAP requirements focused on data-driven instruction. Duties also include creating an engaging learning environment, preparing students for assessments, communicating with parents, and serving special needs students in collaboration with support staff.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in the content area, along with a valid Indiana Teaching License for Secondary Education in US History/Geography for grades 9-12. A minimum of two years of successful teaching experience in an urban environment and demonstrated volunteer or community service are also required qualifications.
