Core responsibilities
The surgical technologist functions under the supervision of an rn to provide technical interventions in the operating room for patients of all ages. Responsibilities also include tasks related to instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies.
Requirements summary
Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited surgical technology program and commit to a two-Year contract upon graduation in exchange for a paid education benefit. Certification as a surgical technologist is required within one year of hire, along with bcls certification within one month and unlicensed assistive personnel registration upon hire.
