About the role

The substitute teacher will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality educational experiences for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old, utilizing the Creative Curriculum while ensuring their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This role also requires active supervision of children during all activities and completing all necessary educational paperwork and documentation in compliance with regulations.

The Catholic Charities Early Learning/Head Start program provides high quality, comprehensive approach to services for both children and families that includes early learning education, professional development, family engagement, health and nutrition, and mental health and disabilities services. We serve children and families in five locations in Cuyahoga County. All of our sites are Gold Level SUTQ Rating.

What You Will Do

Create and deliver high-quality educational experiences utilizing the Creative Curriculum to children 6 weeks to 5 years old while ensuring the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of children at all times.

Actively supervise children at all times and engage in children’s play in all areas of the classroom and all parts of the curriculum including floor play, outdoor/gross motor and music/movement activities.

Complete all educational paperwork and documentation in education databases while maintaining compliance with all federal, state and Universal Pre-K regulations.

Starting Pay Range

$22.88

Requirements

Candidates must be able to create and deliver educational content using the Creative Curriculum for young children while maintaining constant supervision for their safety and well-being. Additionally, the role mandates completing all required educational documentation in compliance with federal, state, and Universal Pre-K regulations.
