- Function: Under the direction of the Gymnastics Director and consistent with the Christian mission, the Gymnastics instructor is responsible for conducting/coaching classes using the standards of USA Gymnastics. In addition, the incumbent will maintain and ensure the safety of the participants at all times.

- Requirements: Sight, hearing, and speaking Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing, sitting Lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 lbs Pulling a minimum of 100 lbs Tolerance to moderate noise levels Dressed professionally in appropriate attire for activity that promotes a high standard of morality
- Primary
- Responsibilities: Provide direct “hands-on” leadership in coaching gymnast. Marketing of program. Maintain up keep of all gymnastics equipment. Set up/take down equipment each day and inspect for safety. Responsible for safely and spotting and lifting children of all ages. Ability to document skill information and recommend gymnast level. Dressed in proper attire to teach classes. Notify supervisor of any absence and locate sub. Attend any and all instructor trainings and meetings. Ensure the safety of the students at all times.
- QualificationsKnow-How: Minimum age of 16 years old. Previous gymnastic experience and/or prior training knowledge, USA Gymnastics Safety certification preferred. CPR & First Aid certifications including adult, child and infant and obstructed airway maneuver. Possess working knowledge of proper teaching and spotting techniques. Working knowledge of the apparatus to set-up and take down on a daily basis. Must be able to relate effectively to diverse groups of people, of all ages.
