Job Description
I. TITLE: Teacher – Early Childhood Education Integrated Classroom, Universal pre-kindergarten (UPK)
Ii.supervisor: Program Administrator – Early Childhood Education
Iii. Hours per week: 35
Iv.qualifications
Master's degree in early childhood education preferred or related field.
Experience in early childhood education, competency in Google Classroom
and basic computer knowledge, strong written and verbal communication skills

Supervise thee ducation/classroom staff and ensure coverage and consistency in the classroom. Create and maintain a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities
- Service Provision
- Plan creative and age-appropriate curriculum/classroom activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom adhering to all OCFS regulations
- Manage classroom behaviors based on the PBIS and Pyramid models
- Teach in the prescribed manner, using the New York State syllabus and appropriate curriculum materials as guides
- Use instructional strategies that meet the differentiated learning styles of students and employ innovative strategies to meet the state mandates
- Coordination
- Ensure program delivery adheres to all regulations, laws and standards set forth by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and the New York State Office of Children and Family (), and the City School District of Albany Early Childhood Education Program.
- Follow all expectations set forth by the CSDA ECE particularly those regarding classroom management and set-up, screening, progress monitoring, and learning outcomes
- Attend all team meetings and CPSE meetings, participate assessments and evaluations as required/requested
- Maintain daily contact with parents including one yearly meeting on-site
- Documentation
- Create functional behavior assessments and annual review reports
- Furnish and implement weekly plan sheets
- Maintain up-to-date paperwork including quarterly reports, meal statistics, anecdotical counts and behavior tracking reports weekly
- Plan and initiate curriculum in accordance with the New York State Education Department Common Core requirements
Training and Supervision • Supervise all classroom assistants and 1

- Attend all training sessions required by the Program Administrator, the Albany City School District, New York State Education Department or Office of Children and Family Services, and any other regulating body requirements
- General
- Keep abreast of developments in special education, teaching resources, methods, and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
- Call Child Protective Services when necessary and according to mandated reporter regulations
- Abide by the NYS Justice Center and the SAI Codes of Conduct/Ethics
- Perform/complete additional duties as assigned
