  • Overview: As a Special Education Teacher for our Summer School Programs, you’ll lead and guide a classroom of eager students, working alongside a dedicated team of professionals. You’ll collaborate with parents, school districts, and other agencies to ensure students receive the highest level of support to meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities

Lead the Classroom: Take charge of your classroom and provide direction to a team of professionals and paraprofessionals. Supervise & Support: Oversee the work of classroom education staff, ensuring students receive the best possible support. Collaboration is Key: Work closely with parents, school districts, and other agencies to ensure student needs are met with care and excellence. Inspire and Motivate: Foster an environment of creativity, energy, and growth for both students and staff.

Minimum Qualifications

NYS Certification in Special Education (Initial Certification required) Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and currently pursuing a Master’s in Special Education Must be at least 18 years old Ability to lift 50 pounds independently
