School Librarian, Grades K-3

The librarian will teach weekly lessons to kindergarten and 1st grade students focusing on library navigation, literature appreciation, and basic research skills, while also curating diverse collections to meet community interests. Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers on embedding information literacy, managing the makerspace, and organizing school-Wide reading events.

Preferred qualifications include a masters of library/Information sciences with a concentration in school librarianship and previous school library experience, though teaching certification is also preferred. Candidates must be able to teach information literacy, understand child development stages, and possess physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
