The optometrist will provide high-Quality eye exams, including vision evaluations, refraction, and ocular health assessments, while prescribing appropriate vision devices for students in underserved communities. Key duties involve testing patients on applicable equipment, documenting diagnoses, and instructing patients on the proper use of prescribed devices.

Candidates must possess a valid washington dc optometry license and be flexible to commute throughout the greater washington dc area to work on a mobile clinic. Successful applicants must also pass a department of justice background check (Livescan) and a drug test.
