The K–3 Literacy Specialist supports the implementation of high-quality, evidence-based literacy instruction aligned to the Tennessee Department of Education Academic Standards for English Language Arts. The specialist will ensure that every teacher and classroom is equipped to serve all students, and will provide coaching, intervention, professional development, and instructional support including the development of literacy specific after school tutoring and summer learning programs.
This is a 10 month faculty position at the University of Memphis with full benefits.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three to five years of successful K-3 ELA classroom teaching experience, along with an active Tennessee teaching license for relevant endorsements or the ability to obtain a TDOE permit.
