Group Exercise Instructor I

The instructor is responsible for conducting land and/Or water exercise classes, including appropriate music selection, class setup/Takedown, and educating participants about the coach approach® and wellness issues. They must also maintain required certifications and log class attendance accurately.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or ged and be at least 18 years old, with less than one year of teaching experience or one or more years of participation experience being acceptable. Required certifications, including cpr/Aed and specific ymca group exercise instructor certifications (Or equivalency), must be obtained within 60 days of hire, along with passing a group exercise audition.
