The Pre-K Assistant Teacher is responsible for instructing 4-year-olds based on individual needs and program requirements, working under the guidance of the Lead Teacher. This role involves caring for children, implementing curriculum through interactive learning experiences, and observing/assessing children's development.
Candidates must possess an Associate Degree or Technical Certification Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or hold an active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in Preschool. Required attributes include being energetic, dependable, and passionate, along with experience in a licensed childcare center or related field.
Georgia’s Pre-K Program is a state funded educational program for all age eligible 4-year-old children in Georgia. The purpose of Georgia’s Pre-K Program is to prepare children for success in Kindergarten and later school years. The Pre-K Assistant Teacher is responsible for instructing 4-year-old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
