The maternal/Neonatal nurse coordinates and provides individualized quality patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation. This involves formulating collaborative care plans, identifying expected patient outcomes, and working cooperatively with ancillary and nursing staff to maintain professional standards.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be registered nurses with a current pennsylvania license and maintain current bls certification. Ideal candidates include experienced rns new to labor & delivery or nursing students graduating in spring/Summer/Winter who are eligible for nclex, provided they have prior l&d unit experience or a senior practicum on such a unit.
