  • Camp: Youth Tennis/Pickleball Camp Instructor (Montlake CC) The Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation, is hiring an Activity Camp [Tennis & Pickleball Camp] Instructor to deliver camps at Montlake Community Center. The Tennis & Pickleball Camp Instructor will be responsible for programming and delivering a Tennis/Pickleball Camps to children aged 8-12 years. The Instructor will be responsible for creating lessons and teaching the fundamentals of Tennis & Pickleball. The instructor must have the ability to engage with a diverse group of children and manage a classroom of students. A passion for teaching and tennis/pickleball are a must! Schedule Monday – Friday approx. 18.75 hours per week. 8:30am-12:15pm. Hours not guaranteed and depend on enrollment.

  • Programming: Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate activity camp lesson plans/activities in the subject area of tennis & pickleball for ages 8-12 Instructors are expected to program their camps with support from the Activity Camp Administrator Use critical thinking to problem-solve Generate supply lists for camp; there will be some class supply funds available Maintain camp appropriate professional appearance Daily set-up, take down and cleaning of space Reports to Associated

Minimum Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older Prior youth programming experience required Experience leading recreational, outdoor, or themed programming preferred If hired, you will have approximately 2 hours of Human Resources new hire onboarding/training and 8-12 hours of on-site on-boarding/training which will include behavior management, programming, parent communication, reporting procedures, etc.
