Core responsibilities
The staff counselor provides individual, group, and programmatic counseling services, including crisis intervention and on-Call response, to a diverse student population across various academic programs. Duties also involve case management, documentation, participation in outreach initiatives, and administrative support for the counseling & psychological services office.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a master's degree in counseling, marriage & family therapy, or social work, or a ph.d/Psy.d in clinical or counseling psychology, along with licensure as an lpc, lmft, lcsw, or psychologist in georgia, or eligibility for licensure within a specified timeframe. A minimum of one year of post-Master's experience in professional counseling services is required.
