- Status: Non-Exempt GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Workforce Success Coach provides individualized employment support to refugees and immigrants from diverse backgrounds, including participants with limited English proficiency and varying levels of education and work experience. This role focuses on helping participants identify career goals, build skills, and navigate barriers through coaching, structured goal setting, and individualized training plans.
- Key responsibilities
- Provide individualized coaching to support participants in achieving employment, job retention, and career advancement goals
- Deliver job readiness support (resume building, interview preparation, communication, etc)
- Assess participants’ skills, experiences, interests, and barriers to employment/career advancement
- Identify skill gaps and connect participants to appropriate education and training opportunities, including ESL, vocational training, digital literacy and upskilling programs
- Connect participants to internal and external support services and community resources
- Track progress, maintain case records and monitor outcomes
- Collaborate with employer partners to align participant skills with workforce needs
- Skills and competencies
- Experience in workforce development, career coaching, or related field
- Strong communication, organization, adaptability and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of job readiness and career advancement strategies
- Ability to work effectively and build rapport with diverse, multi-lingual populations
- Commitment to equity, inclusion and culturally responsive practices
- Multi-lingual skills a plus (Arabic, Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Swahili)
- Digital platform experience (Canvas LMS, virtual tools) preferred
- COMPENSATION This is a full time hourly position.
- The salary range for this position is $19.23- $21.63 per hour ($40,000 - $45,000 Per Year).
