Core responsibilities

Fellows will receive training from nationally recognized experts, focusing on the assessment, management, and disposition of emergency psychiatric patients through hands-On experience in both the medical ed and acute psychiatric settings. They will also gain experience as a physician leader to shape improvements in emergency psychiatric care delivery and learn to diagnose and manage acute medical conditions that exacerbate psychiatric issues.

Requirements summary

This one-Year fellowship is open to psychiatry and emergency medicine residents graduating in good standing from acgme accredited residency programs, requiring completion of the equivalent of 4 years of residency in psychiatry. A current california state license is considered a plus.
