Teacher Assistant

Teacher assistants support lead classroom teachers by assisting with instructional activities, preparing and implementing lesson plans, and working with small groups of children as directed. They are also responsible for monitoring children's development through ongoing assessment practices and ensuring the health and safety of all children.

A minimum requirement is the preschool child development associate (Cda) credential, though an associate’s degree in early childhood or a related field is preferred, and transcripts will be required. Candidates must also possess a valid ri driver's license, proof of insurance, and pass required background clearances, with prior childcare experience preferred.
