Substitute teachers are responsible for providing instruction by following existing lesson plans or adapting them as needed to support student learning continuity. Key duties include supporting English language literacy, managing classroom behavior effectively, and supervising students during various school activities.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher, though an Education degree is preferred but not mandatory. Experience working with diverse student populations is considered a plus, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.
About Us Colorado International Language Academy (CILA) is a unique international charter school offering language immersion (50% in 1st-5th grades) in three world languages—Mandarin Chinese, German, and Spanish. Our students not only learn math and language literacy, but also gain insight into cultural aspects of their target language, fostering a GLOBAL perspective. At CILA, students develop essential 21st-century skills by exploring diverse cultures, gaining respect and understanding, and preparing to live and work in a global community.
We are seeking passionate and dedicated substitute teachers for the 2024/25 school year who can step in and support our students’ learning when full-time teachers are unavailable. Substitute teachers play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of learning and creating a positive, engaging classroom environment.
Substitute teachers are on an on-call basis and hours may vary depending on the needs of the school. CILA provides a supportive and collaborative working environment where educators and staff are dedicated to the success of our students.
