Dental Assistant I

The dental assistant i will chairside assist faculty, residents, and students with patient care, including taking and developing x-Rays and instructing patients on preventative dental techniques and oral hygiene. Responsibilities also include maintaining dental records, operatories, clinical equipment, and assisting with supply and instrument sterilization.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, one year of appropriate experience, and current basic life support (Bls) certification, though college coursework or vocational training may substitute for experience. Preferred abilities involve preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, following instructions closely, instructing patients, and maintaining professional public interactions.
