- Friday from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Depending on operational needs, there may be opportunities to increase weekly hours, with time off during July and part of August.

Position Summary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Collaborate with Nursing Faculty to establish standard practice for nursing skills and simulation. Observe and evaluate student performance of nursing skills and simulation. Provide supervised practice and coaching opportunities for students. Assist students with bridging theory and skills to develop clinical judgment. Utilize engaging instructional strategies and methodologies which foster student success in the nursing skills and simulations lab. Provide immediate and consistent feedback to students to assist them in improving performance in technical and core ability competencies. Collaborate with faculty to use data to measure quality outcomes related to student persistence, retention, completion rate, course success, and to design improvement strategies based on the evidence. Create a personalized instructional plan to support students referred by faculty, addressing their specific academic needs. Maintain proficient knowledge and skill in emerging trends and current occupational practices by networking with regional industry leaders and participating in continuing education and professional development. Assist in the development of part time faculty in the nursing skills lab through communication, sharing of resources, coaching, and mentoring. Collaborate with the Nursing Faculty to provide teaching to support the Associate Degree Nursing and Practical Nursing curriculum Assist with Innovative technology to increase student success. Assist the Nursing Lab Coordinator as needed MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE A Master’s Degree in Nursing OR a BSN enrolled in and actively pursuing completion of MSN. Candidates currently enrolled and pursuing an MSN will be hired with the expectation of completing the degree within an established timeline. Applicant must have three years of staff nursing experience. At a minimum, occupational experience has to have occurred at least 1 year within the last 5 years. Must meet requirements of appropriate accrediting agencies, have or be able to obtain Wisconsin Nursing licensure and be certifiable by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing. Employment is conditional on compliance with state statute regarding the completion of a Caregiver Background Check. **An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
