Health Information Technology Instructor

The primary purpose is to design instruction and assessment in an engaging environment to foster learner success, continually improving the quality of learning delivery to support college outcomes. Responsibilities include developing and revising curriculum, utilizing engaging instructional strategies, and providing consistent feedback to students.

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, along with at least two years of work experience in the health information technology field, is required, and candidates must be certified as a registered health information technician (Rhit) or registered health information administrator (Rhia). Knowledge of healthcare organization operations, reform, regulatory requirements, and coding is essential for this role.
