Special Ed Teacher

The special education teacher is responsible for teaching preschool children requiring special education, which includes planning and writing comprehensive curricula based on various assessments and individual goals. Essential duties also involve conducting ongoing individualized testing, preparing evaluation reports, participating in cpse/Cse meetings, and writing/Updating ieps for each child.

Candidates must possess nys certification in early childhood and special education, along with a master’s degree in special education and/Or early childhood, plus one year of relevant experience. A permanent/Professional certification from the nys education department as a special education teacher is mandatory, and experience with moderate to severe disabilities is preferred.
