Swim Instructor, North Side YMCA

The swim instructor is responsible for providing leadership to all instructional areas of the aquatic program while ensuring the safety of all participants through constant alertness and physical readiness for rescues. Duties include preparing and teaching classes according to ymca objectives, maintaining required documentation, and fostering a fun, positive atmosphere.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old with technical ability in swim instruction and proficient swimming/Safety skills, maintaining current cpr/Aed/O2 and first aid certifications. They must also demonstrate cooperative spirit, enjoy working with youth, and be able to obtain ymca swim instructor certification within six months if not already certified.
