Day Care Teacher for Parishes (NE)

• Andrew by the Bay, located in Annapolis, MD, seeks candidates for a Preschool Teacher.
• The Extended Care Teacher will be accountable for the care and supervision of children.
• Their primary responsibilities are the safety and well-being of children in their care, but they also provide some instruction or educational support.
• The weekly hours are 19.
• The Preschool Teacher will be working with 2 - 4 year olds, September through May.

• Essential Functions
• Works with the lead teacher to implement a program of instruction that adheres to the school's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
• Takes initiative in the classroom, and assists in preparing the learning environment daily, including centers and activities.
• Maintains a clean and organized classroom daily.
• Assists in classroom management and orderly transitions.
• Uses positive words and actions in all communication and interaction with the students.
• Assist in daily activities with children.
• Prepare crafts and activities under the teacher's direction.
• Prepare a learning environment daily including centers and activities.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
• Assist with snack, lunch, and rest time.

• Position Qualifications
• Minimum of a High School Diploma and 90-hour childcare certification.
• Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.
• An appreciation for young students and their families.
• Willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Faith and the Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Schools.

Pay Rate

$18.00, Hourly
