Monsignor Slade Catholic School, located in Glen Burnie, MD, is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant for our Edu-Care Center. This is a 12-month position that includes eligibility for benefits.
Under the supervision of the Director, the Administrative Assistant supports the mission of the Catholic school by providing assistance in a wide range of office and Edu-Care Center operations. The Administrative Assistant coordinates and organizes office activities, manages the flow of communication and information for the Director, and provides administrative support by planning, organizing, supervising, and participating in school office operations.
This position requires the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and personal information, as well as prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities.
Essential Functions
Welcome and assist visitors; provide information to parents and the public; and screen correspondence and telephone calls for administrators and staff.
Maintain routine office records related to student files, instructional materials, childcare licensing documents, and other administrative records.
Create and maintain weekly staff schedules that ensure compliance with required staff-to-child ratios.
Purchase supplies and materials, handle deliveries, and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Assist teachers and provide classroom support as needed.
Position Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Successful completion of 6 semester hours, 90 clock hours, or the equivalent of approved childcare training, or possession of a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children in a childcare center or school setting.
Knowledge of Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care (MSDE OCC) regulations.
Strong office administration, organizational, and secretarial skills.
Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality, demonstrate professionalism, and work effectively as part of a team.
$10.00 - $24.00, Hourly
