Reading Interventionist (Secondary)

The reading interventionist assists students in developing proficient reading skills by working extensively with them to improve specific areas like letter-Naming, phoneme segmentation, and comprehension strategies. Duties include consulting with teachers, designing interventions, writing lesson plans, and monitoring scholar progress to meet individual needs.

Candidates must possess a master’s degree and maintain a pennsylvania certification, with preferred certification in reading specialist and special education. Required experience includes working with coaching teachers, delivering professional development, and having a deep understanding of literacy theories and diagnostic teaching of reading.
