The Wellness Advocate will mentor community members to become advocates by planning, leading, and teaching fitness, nutrition education, and wellness activities for youth and the broader community. This role supports year-round health advocacy, community outreach, and fostering active, healthy lives for residents of all ages.
A High School Diploma/GED is required, with progress toward a health-related degree preferred, alongside 0-1 years of general experience and preferred experience in community outreach or youth development. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, the ability to lead groups actively, and must obtain CPR certification within one month of hire.
Wellness advocate - Wales
The wellness advocate position is designed to serve a community by mentoring local people to be community wellness advocates through planning, leading and teaching fitness and nutrition education, and wellness activities for the youth and broader community in their home community. The wellness coordinator will work to support the camp department in developing and sustaining year-Round health advocacy, participating in community outreach and fostering environments and opportunities for residents of all ages to lead active, healthy lives.
