Core responsibilities
The behavior technician is responsible for consistently implementing behavior management programs in a center-Based or 1:1 setting, working closely with a bcba, and establishing therapeutic relationships with individuals served. Key duties include following treatment plans, educating families on techniques, promoting safe replacement behaviors, and accurately collecting various forms of behavior data.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a high school diploma, associate's, or bachelor's degree along with an rbt certificate, and must have prior experience working with youth, families, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Exceptional communication skills, the ability to build trust quickly, and strong listening skills with empathy are also required.
