Bay minette day camp counselor

The primary responsibility is providing direct supervision for a group of children in a seasonal day camp, ensuring a quality experience aligned with ymca core values like honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. This includes planning and implementing culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate program activities while adhering strictly to safety and operational standards.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and typically require a high school diploma or equivalent, though some college experience is preferred. Essential qualifications include obtaining cpr, first aid, aed certifications, bloodborne pathogens training, and child abuse prevention training before the camp starts, along with prior experience working with children, preferably in a camp setting.
