Swim Instuctor

The swim instructor is responsible for providing quality swim lessons adhering to national ymca standards, which includes instructing assigned classes, maintaining communication with participants, and evaluating swimming levels. Additionally, the role involves ensuring pool safety, enforcing rules, maintaining facility cleanliness, and keeping accurate records.

Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years old and complete 7 hours of in-Service ymca swimming lesson training, with lifeguard, ymca swim certification, and/Or wsi being preferred. The position requires the ability to perform all physical tasks associated with teaching aquatic lessons and upholding the ymca's character development values.
