Nutrition Aide

The nutrition aide will deliver participant-Centered nutrition education, assessment, and counseling to wic participants, including identifying high-Risk individuals and referring them to the dietitian. Specific duties involve determining wic eligibility, issuing food vouchers, teaching group classes, and providing breastfeeding support and related administrative tasks.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of paid experience in a wic program or similar health program providing education or counseling. Candidates must also possess basic nutrition knowledge, be able to type 35 wpm, have a valid california driver's license, and obtain a current basic life support (Bls) certificate.
