Nutrition Aide

The nutrition aide will deliver participant-Centered nutrition education, assessment, and counseling to wic participants, including identifying high-Risk individuals and referring them to the dietitian. Specific duties involve determining wic eligibility, issuing food vouchers, teaching group classes, and providing breastfeeding support.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of paid experience in a wic program or similar health setting providing education or counseling. Applicants must also possess the ability to type 35 wpm, knowledge of basic nutrition principles, a valid california driver's license, and a current basic life support certificate.
