Special Education Teacher

The primary purpose is to provide an educational program for severely behavior-Disordered youth as outlined in their individualized education program (Iep), which includes developing, implementing, and evaluating instruction. This role also involves serving as a case coordinator, monitoring student progress, and providing day-To-Day supervision of youth workers.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in education with special education endorsements for teaching behaviorally disordered students and meet iowa department of education certification standards. Essential qualifications also include strong communication skills, computer literacy, the ability to handle confidential information, and successful completion of cpi de-Escalation and restraint training.
