The breastfeeding peer counselor provides compassionate, culturally sensitive support and encouragement to breastfeeding individuals and their families by sharing personal experiences and evidence-Based information. This role is responsible for delivering services aligned with program goals and standards within a defined scope of practice.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have a high school diploma or ged, or six months of related experience, along with six months of experience in a related field. Required certifications include maintaining a valid driver’s license and obtaining basic life support (Bls)/Cpr certification within six months of hire.
