Rad Tech Extern Opportunities

This role involves supporting imaging technologists by preparing patients and examination rooms, organizing supplies, verifying patient identification, and assisting patients before, during, and after imaging procedures under direct supervision. The extern will also use radiology computer systems, review medical records for necessary information, and ensure accurate documentation of images and records.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program, typically having completed a minimum of 12 months of training, including specific clinical competencies in various imaging procedures. Required certifications include obtaining basic life support (Bls) and registered technologist (Rt) registration within 120 days of graduation.
