Core responsibilities
The advisor is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly dorm environment by managing student behavior, providing guidance on attitude and relationships, and directing maintenance and cleanup activities. Duties also include training students in independent living and leadership skills, reinforcing positive behavior, and maintaining detailed shift logs and incident reports.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have a high school diploma or ged and preferably residential experience in a group home or college dormitory setting, along with a valid driver's license. Essential skills include proven customer service, excellent communication, the ability to handle stressful situations efficiently, and proficiency with computer software like microsoft office.
