Core responsibilities
The case manager coordinates care for students by assessing needs, educating them and families about resources, and arranging necessary support services, while also providing crisis and short-Term mental health counseling as needed within the mental health service team. This role involves managing a caseload, updating community resource databases, performing administrative duties, and participating in quality improvement activities and intern supervision.
Requirements summary
Minimum qualifications require a master's degree in social work or mental health counseling, along with three years of practice in social work or community counseling within a counseling setting, including case management experience. Applicants must hold an active lcsw, lpc, or lmft license from the louisiana board.
