Respiratory Therapy Extern - Summer 2026

This seven-Week program provides students entering their final year of a respiratory therapy program the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors to deliver safe, quality care in a non-Critical setting. The fellowship includes organizational orientation, practice-Based experience, and supplemental activities to promote continuing professional development in respiratory care.

Applicants must be rising students from a respiratory therapy school, preferably affiliated with stamford health, who have completed the first year of an associate program with a minimum 3.2 cumulative gpa and be in good standing. Applications require an essay demonstrating desire to practice in respiratory care and alignment with stamford hospital's core values.
