Group Exercise Instructor II

The instructor is responsible for conducting ymca group exercise classes, including appropriate music selection, class setup/Takedown, and educating participants about the coach approach® and fitness issues. They must also promote, monitor, and evaluate classes to ensure high service levels while adhering to organizational mission and values.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or ged and be at least 18 years old, with one or more years of experience teaching group exercise classes. Instructors must maintain required national certifications (E.g., ace, acsm, afaa, neta for land; aea for water) and obtain specific ymca certifications within 60 days of hire.
