Academic Advisor

The academic advisor is responsible for maintaining an environment of academic and professional excellence by supporting students through advocacy, coaching, customer service, and referrals. This involves proactive contact with advisees to build rapport, identify barriers, set goals, and develop action plans for success.

Required competencies include strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to utilize active listening and presentation skills. Candidates must also possess strong computer and analytical skills, the ability to work independently or in a team, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
