Core responsibilities
The special education teacher will support the educational and behavioral goals of students with ieps by working cooperatively with general education teachers to modify curriculum and assist with classroom interventions. Key duties include conducting diagnostic assessments, writing behavior improvement plans, facilitating iep meetings, and utilizing research-Based, culturally responsive teaching practices.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a current state license and knowledge of state standards and common core standards, with experience in full inclusion or co-Teaching models preferred. Applicants should be comfortable in a growth-Focused coaching environment and demonstrate high proficiency in communication and microsoft office products.
