Security Officer

The security officer provides general campus security through patrols and fixed posts, responding to alarms, emergencies, and calls for service while detecting and deterring unusual activity. Duties also include assisting personnel, enforcing regulations, completing incident reports, providing first aid, and performing dispatching functions when assigned.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred, along with strong leadership and communication skills. Essential requirements include a valid nys driver’s license, current nys security guard certification, the ability to work independently, computer proficiency, and the physical capacity to move significant weight and conduct extensive foot patrol.
