Teacher Assistant - Head Start

The teacher assistant supports the head start teacher by implementing lesson plans, engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities, and promoting school readiness and social-Emotional growth. This role also involves maintaining a safe classroom environment, supporting daily routines, and fostering positive relationships with families.

A high school diploma or ged is required, with preference given to candidates holding a cda credential, associate’s degree, or relevant coursework in early childhood education. Candidates must pass background checks, licensing requirements, and demonstrate a passion for working with young children and diverse families.
