Special education pe teacher (Lbs1 required)

The special education pe teacher is responsible for providing students with educational and behavioral programs designed to maximize their potential and rebuild self-Esteem under the principal's supervision. Key duties include creating and adapting curriculum, completing lesson plans for various activities, managing the classroom environment, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in education (Master's preferred) and hold a valid illinois pel, specifically the special education - Lbs1 (Learning behavior specialist) unlimited certification. A minimum of two years of physical education teaching experience with special needs students in a relevant setting is highly preferred, along with strong knowledge of educational theories and interventions.
