Position Details

  • Start Date would be early August for the upcoming 2026 - 2027 Regular School Year
  • Full-Time: 8:00 - 4:00 with flexibility to support crisis situations that may require extended supervision beyond the school day as needed
  • Location: Culver City
  • Grade Levels: Pre-School through Vocational (ages 22 years)
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Ability to be certified and apply Hands-on Management techniques according to Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) guidelines and/or follow the client who is experiencing significant behavioral problems or has become Absent Without Leave (AWOL) from the facility.
  • Protect, care for and ensure the safety of all students at all times.
  • Supervise activities of students as needed in classrooms, on school campus.
  • Provide crisis intervention for students while at school site.
  • Assist students to resolve problems; identify ongoing services necessary to help students to resolve problems.
  • Develop and implement behavior management strategies for students, including setting and enforcing limits for behavior.
  • Assist students in developing social, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Utilize approved techniques for management of assault behavior.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with or currently using CPI or other method of physical intervention/restraint.
  • At least 1+ year of experience with physically aggressive behaviors and behavior intervention.
  • Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations, adapt plans, and support students and staff in high-stress environments.
  • Experience with Autism, ADHD, and/or Emotional Disabilities.
  • Availability to work school hours (8:00 - 4:00) with flexibility to support crisis situations that may require extended supervision beyond the school day as needed.
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress and be flexible, responsive, and positive with students, parents, and staff.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Valid California driver license and good driving record preferred.
